That led me to think she'd maybe heard something. The Ready Rubbed is much easier to get hold of. To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if the Flake and Plug both disappear soon.
It'd surprise me, it's still the joint top selling brand along with st. Bruno isn't it? She must of got confused when they closed the gallahers factory in Belfast. I thought all the cuts of condor were being made again, somewhere in Eastern Europe.
    St. Bruno simply satisfies!

I hope you're right Simon as I much prefer the flake to the ready rubbed. What I did notice in 2015 was the lack of outlets selling Condor flake. I eventually had to settle for two 25gr pouches from an Asian run newsagent in Glasgow when I arrived as I couldn't find anyone who sold a 50gr pouch which left me wondering what was going on especially after hearing the lady in the tobacconists comment. Even most of the big supermarkets didn't stock it although they did have ready rubbed. As you know, in Spain, Condor and St Bruno ready rubbed is available rather than the flake.
I'll find out for myself later this year when we'll be in Spain and Scotland.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that they were going to change the size to 30 grams (something to do with minimum pack size).Or did I dream it.

Yeah, that was real, at least thatís what was supposed to happen but shortly after they got more stock in but they stayed the same size. I was never given an explanation as to why it didnít happen.

Ordered Monday, arrived Friday ó from Ireland to Canada! The workings of postal systems will forever be a mystery to me, especially when you consider smokingpipes orders regularly take two weeks to get to me.

Can't forget this mail bomb unleashed on me by our hooligan of the high seas, John the PyrateMate. He read that I was interested in Kramer's Father Dempsey and decided to rain down upon me a hellfire of oily black, aged flakes along with the aforementioned Latakia mixture. Tough to tell from the pic but there's enough of the vaunted Germain's Rich Dark Flake there for at least ten or so pipefuls. Generosity off the charts. I salute thee, Swashbuckling Sir!

Man, got a lot of good smokes there! Tell me if you think Maltan RR tastes like Sissinghurst... I think they taste extremely similar. Iím excited that youíve got some Condor Plug!!! James Fox of Dublin has the quickest shipping Iíve ever experienced and itís that way every time. I once placed an order with Smoking Pipes and James Fox on the same day and the J Fox order arrived two days before the Smoking Pipes order... go figure.

    Very kind gesture from PyrateMate!

Both good choice with the Maltan RR and the Condor plug, I enjoy both. Good selection of samples too, the only one I don't know is Father Dempsey.
    Regards,
