    Yes -18/3/21:

"Also in today's shipment was a cigar that had attracted my attention because it is aged for six months in an ex-bourbon barrel (!) - a Camacho American Barrel-Aged article. Sort of made me think of fine malt whiskies that are sometimes aged in ex-bourbon casks.

I smoked it in the back garden and when the missus got out of the car with her shopping she said she could smell it in the street in front of the house (50 yards away and with the house in between!). Always the sign of a good cigar, I find. I'm not sure I would have detected bourbon without prior knowledge, but an excellent cigar it was - very rich and with an even burn right down to the stub (often not the case, even with Cuban cigars these days).

While smoking it, I mused on the fact that fine tobacco is fine tobacco regardless of the delivery vehicle."

I suspect, despite enjoying it, the one I had was lesser in quality and price.

Sure I read Dominican cigars were very good value for money.

Never tried the Fillmore, Russ, but I'd be delighted to have any of the others in my cellar.

I would try it in you're cob pipe first, I hear it's got a tendency to do a lot of haunting, as in Ghosts.

Yes, well, for the sake of my cobblers alone, I sincerely hope you like it! I'm pretty sure you will, a first smoke of the day Chris. Makes for a great breakfast bowl I find, a mood enhancing & cheering smoke. If it doesn't put a spring in your step or get you singing out loud 'All Things Bright & Beautiful' I'll be quite surprised.
