Ooh, that sounds good. Have you tried it before?

No, I was on the fence. Then I read Zach's post from Friday...

Sutliff knocked a real winner out of the park with this barrel aged crumble kake! Dark, fruity, tangy, smooth and slightly white oak and tiny hints of the apple brandy but all pure Virginia greatness.
    PM sent.

I placed my monthly tobacco order and, by the weekend, I'll get a box filled with the following...

    ...150g HH Pure VA Flake
    ...150g Peterson Flake
    ...100g Limerick VA Flake
    ...100g Wessex Brown VA Flake
    ...50g GLP Fillmore
    ...and pipe cleaners for stock

    My usual favorites.

Last night I ordered eight tins of Charatan Flake from GQ, usual price 15.99 down to 13.49, a saving of 20.00.

We don't see many tins on sale over here, that's a good discount ally! By my calculations you've made a saving of 22 of the Queens Punds not 20.
Just ordered a few tins from Estervals, noticed they're now stocking the 'Amphora Kentucky' so got a few pouches of that as well. Quite excited to try that one, didn't think we'd ever see it.

The following arrived today with the new Christmas pipe from GQ:-

    Condor Blended
    Erinmore Mixture
GH & Co. Jamaican (Rum) Flake
    GH & Co. R&M (Rum & Maple)

I ordered the Condor out of curiosity compared to the Long Cut & Ready Rubbed, the Erinmore as I've only smoked the Flake, and the other two because of their 'Yuletide' qualities that I've heard about, and so far the Jamaican Flake hasn't disappointed.

Russ Abbott smoked the Condor Blended, I remember reading somewhere. Haven't smoked the Rum Flake for a long time, but remember liking it very much. Talking of 'Yuletide' qualities anyone tried this 'Black & Brown' American blend by Gawith and Hoggarth? New in at the Black Swan Shoppe & flavoured with molasses apparently, which means black treacle to me. Sounds quite festive with possibilities of jingling ones bells, I should imagine.

    ...8 tins at a saving of 2.50 a tin - 20!

BTW: why is Hereford "over here" or are you thinking that Scots are foreigners? (An easy mistake to make!).

Crikey, what a numpty I am. Lol. Back to school for me!

No, when I said 'over here' I was referring to the UK as a whole, not just Hereford. Over there in the states, they seem to get sales on tobacco quite often. Can't remember ever seeing a sale on tobaco in the UK, before this one.
