thanks - not that I own any 'fine' red wines

however I'm designing/building a large wine rack in the lounge
    a steady but warmer temp

ATM I'm letting my drinking reds sit to come up to room temp before decanting

Thanks for that information. It sounds like I ought to open a bottle of Malbec tomorrow to celebrate this event.

    Question

    .
    .
can anyone recommend a book on wine? ...the 'World Atlas' type of book

i'm interested in the historical aspect - the history of vineyards, , growers, the different varieties of grapes/blends, and where they come from, etc.

not just a catalog of what's available

    thanks
    .

    regards................john.
