Got some good news papers in the mail yesterday. Documentation from my son's doctor that basically says he needs an emotional support animal. That animal is Cookie the cat and that documentation is - hopefully - all we need to show the landlord he doesn't really have much say in the matter and Cookie is here to stay.

Also, the son got registered for his junior year in high school. Classes begin in less than 2 weeks. Man, where did the summer go?
That is good news. Welcome to the family, Cookie!

Cool, quiet and calm start to the day.

Just finished off a delicious bowl of 2014 Tilbury in a Country Gent. I opened this bag a few months ago and jarred it up and it's really coming along nicely. Those few months in the jar have made a world of difference.

Happy to say my work is finally done. There's still the background checks running which will take it through tomorrow sometime before it's final but I don't foresee any problems there. Besides, the background checks don't require much from me so hell yeah, happy weekend.

I decided to have a last bowl before I get off of my fat bottom and start working. Now smoking a bowl of Shop Mix fortified with Solani VA Flake in the Pride cob.

Now smoking a bowl of Solani VA Flake in the Washington cob before starting my day. I have another unopened 100g tin off on the side and I'd like to put 50g in the cellār, but I don't have any more room! My "cellar" is actually my lower dresser drawer and there's just enough room for a couple of tins to be stored on edge. Maybe it's time to move the cellar into the real cellar where I have plenty of cool, dry cabinet space. Solani has changed their oversized tins from having a hinge on the side to a pull-off top. The tins still aren't vacuum sealed and the tobacco is still packaged in cellophane which requires jarring for any long-term storage. I could never understand this kind of packaging. I'm taking this pipe along with some of the Shop Mix when I head on out. Almost lunch time!

Good Evening, Cobbers! The heat index here is at 96°F/35.5°C and it looks like rain will be heading our way sometime tonight. Finishing up the smoking day with a bowl of Amphora VA Flake in the MM General cobwarden with a swallow of cool coffee left in the mug.
