edit: Steve terrific post. I was laughing about the part of the story when you bought the pipe! Beautiful pipe, avery unique and creative take on the poker. The triangular shank and stem is really nice. It's amazing how Julius could remember the exact style by the shape number many years later! I get the feeling I will be hearing back from Rob. I love hearing the history, particulary about such a talented pipe maker. People, read Steve's blog post for "the rest of the story"!
I have a smooth version of the same shape number. It is stamped Julius Vesz Handmade with a circle 4 and a 76. I love it and it is a great smoking pipe.

Why Worry! I am an old man, and have had many troubles, but most of 'em never happened.

I used to work in a building just north of the Royal York and checked out Julius' shop a few times. Last year, for my 40th, my boss bought me a voucher for one of his "handmade" pipes in the lower price range. I ended up with a smart little dublin that smokes amazing well and is light as a feather. While not nearly as spectacular as his "handcut" series of pipes, his more moderately priced pipes are still pretty darn nice. In fact, I think I'll smoke it today

Well this pipe just saw the first light of day two days ago. Another one still in the seller's packaging. Why? Well I was right in the middle of moving in October "14; I had to be out by the end of the month, however, I apparently still had the time to be buying pipes!
