Well, I'm glad we didn't end up bidding against each other. I only saw it because of another pipe the seller had listed, but I can't remember what it was. I was surprised that no one else jumped in, but pleased about getting it at a very good price!

I wonder how much money we spend trying to get a bargain...

I have a "bargain" pipe that should be arriving today. We'll see if the itch was scratched.

Not the classic British thing that I crave, but quite a lovely pipe, Dave. I might just stretch my tastes to include that one. It's very well done!

Dirk is a lovely guy. We have been trying to arrange a meetup in Spain for a couple of years now but it always passes me by.

He has started to make a new range of pipes now at a lesser price, and is making many of them in classic shapes. Great quality and great prices for a handmade, and they are selling like hot cakes!

Thread bump, because I was watching artisan pipe making videos at 4 am this morning, Luigi Viprati (all 5 parts), Roger Wallenstein, and saw others I'd like to watch (what can I say...), also found this one from 2010,

Thanks for that Dave but I thought they used a machine press to stamp the pipes, the nomenclature must be quite faded doing that way?
