    Thanks Herb. I use Feibings Shoe dye for the stain as it is an aniline based dye/stain. I buy the Medium Brown, Black and Oxblood or Cordovan. The beauty of them is that you can lighten the colour of them with alcohol to your desires. I get the carnauba and other buffing supplies from online word working suppliers such as Lee Valley Tools or when I can find them at a local liquidation tool supplier.

    For sourcing the Feibings also check your local leather goods or shoe repair. A shoe repair shop here in town has a huge selection of the Feibings.

    That is where I get mine Brian. They have a large selection. One day i will branch out and try some other colours! ;)

    I watched a video on YouTube, the guy used a black stain first, wiped it off, then followed with an oxblood stain. Man that made the grain pop!!

    I also have been following REBORN PIPES FOR A WHILE NOW..LEARNED A LOT . I tend to experiment and improvise to good effect..I personally dont like iso alcahol..I use Moonshine ! I dont drink the stuff just clean pipes with it ! LOL
